PENANGITES have been urged by the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) to call the Government’s 999 hotline to get a quicker response in the event of an emergency.
MRC Penang branch Community-based Ambulance Service (Combase) task force board chairman Ken Lee Phay Chian said when the hotline is contacted, the person answering the call will check on the ambulances’ availability and dispatch the nearest one to the scene of the emergency.
