No flowers after 5pm, please


Venerable Jing Jie from the Malaysian Buddhist Association leading the committee members and devotees in a prayer session at 10am before the Buddha statue was moved from the MBA hall to the float for the Wesak Day which falls tomorrow.

DEVOTEES who wish to offer fresh flowers to decorate the main float of the Penang Wesak Day procession tomorrow can do so until 5pm today.

Penang Wesak Day celebration committee chairman Datuk Dr Loh Hock Hun said no more flowers would be accepted after that as the volunteers need to complete decorating the float for its lighting up ceremony at 7pm today.
