Filipina college student dies in car accident

JOHOR BARU: A college student from the Philippines died on the spot after she was knocked down by a motorist while crossing the road here.

Johor Baru (South) OCPD Asst Comm Sulaiman Salleh said the victim, who was identified as Iand Bernales, 27, was involved in a hit-and-run accident at KM4.6, Jalan Johor Baru-Kota Tinggi around midnight on April 30.
