Perak holds the record for having the highest number of senior citizens while there are only 213 registered volunteers

PERAK needs at least 5,000 more volunteers to register at the State Welfare Department to cater to the increasing number of senior citizens and people with disabilities (OKU).

Perak Community Welfare Committee chairman Datuk Rusnah Kassim said according to records at the department, Perak holds the record for having the highest number of senior citizens in a state, which is 274,006.
