School initiates Engineering Drawing class for Form 4

SIBU: SMK Sacred Heart has started an Engineering Drawing class for its Form Four students.

According to teacher Aileen Gan Hwee Ting, the subject is only offered to those from the Science Stream students who are not keen on pursuing Biology.

“The first intake for the class comprises 37 students, which is at the maximum now,” she said during a function here yesterday.

Asked on passing criteria, she said 25% of the marks would come from school assessment while the remainder of 75% would be from the actual examination. Moreover, she added, that were a total of three new classes open for Form Four this year — two for Arts Stream and one for Science Stream.

“These classes are sponsored by SMK Sacred Old Boys of Class 1974, who donated RM150,000, of which RM35,000 has been taken up to equip the Engineering Drawing class.”
