Paradigm Mall, one of the newest shopping centres in Petaling Jaya, saw 16 million people visiting it last year.
In December alone, the mall saw 1.6 million shoppers, breaking the record since it opened in May 2012.
WCT Land Berhad director Kenny Wong said the infotainment and entertainment campaigns they organised had attracted visitors to the mall.
WCT land is the developer of Paradigm Mall.
“The series of infotainment and shopping campaigns had increased the footfall by 23% compared with the previous year.”
He said the contributing factors to the high number of visitors to the mall in December were due to school holidays and Christmas campaigns.
He said they also registered an increase of 50% more visitors to the mall in September, October and November compared with the same period the previous year.
Among the campaigns the mall had organised includes the 500 medium-sized teddy bears and a 20-footer at its Boulevard, a series of famous performances by international artistes, fashion shows and Asian model search.
The easy access and larger parking space are other contributory factors that had attracted people to the mall, said Wong.
The free hourly shuttle service between Kelana Jaya LRT Station and Paradigm Mall, he said, had also encouraged people to the mall.
