Stray dogs seen in Jalan PU8/5a Taman Puchong Utama are often aggresive

A PACK of stray dogs in PU8 Puchong Utama has made walking in the neighbourhood a dangerous activity.

Despite being a busy neighbourhood with a bus stand, hypermarket and sports centre in Jalan PU8/5A, the dogs are not fearful to roam around.

Parents are worried the dogs will harm their children who walk or cycle home from school.

In a recent incident, a young boy on a bicycle rammed into an oncoming car while trying to flee a stray dog that was chasing him.

A resident known only as Chai said the dogs showed up after plots of vacant land in the area were cleared for development.

He said the strays were aggressive and fights would often erupt among the pack.

Another resident pointed out that there were many daycare centres in the neighbourhood and people were concerned for the safety of the children.

Residents urge Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) to take action quickly.

MPSJ public relations officer Azfarizal Abd Rashid said they would look into the complaints immediately.
