MBPJ leads other councils to offer free bus service

MBPJ's Free Community Bus (FCB) waiting for passengers at Jalan Yong Shook Lin bus stop. Parents from the low income bracket feel that the FCB should start at 6.15am for school children board it for school.

BASED on the free public transport outlined in the manifesto for PRU 13, seven local councils — MBSA, MPK, MPAJ, MPSJ, MPS, MPKj and MPSP — have submitted their proposals to implement the service.

The service covers urban areas such as Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya and Kajang, and was discussed during the state assembly sitting yesterday.
