IT’S NOT unusual for celebrities to increase their income by getting endorsements, going into business or trying to do something that makes good use of their names. For veteran singer Datuk Khadijah Ibrahim, fondly known as Khaty, the food business seemed to be the ideal choice.

And now she is the proud owner of two branches of Khadijah’s Kitchen — one in Petaling Jaya and another in Setapak.
