IN view of the increase in crime cases involving firearms in the country, shooting competitions are a good means of practice for police personnel, said Penang police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi.

“The shooting and handling of firearms are important skills for the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) as the police are involved in the security of the country,” he said in his opening speech at the Yang di-Pertua Negri Shooting Championship Trophy of PDRM with the Community 2013.
