Johari to initiate talks to make General Post Office building heritage site

KUCHING: Sarawak will initiate talks with Pos Malaysia Bhd on the preservation of the General Post Office building here as a heritage building within the city’s planned legacy square.

However, it is not clear whether the state would propose a buyout of the old colonial structure or form a colla-boration with Pos Malaysia to preserve it under the latter’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
