Marbahan well practiced in traditional Malay villages

BATU PAHAT: The marhaban tradition (Islamic caroling) is very much alive and still widely practiced in many of the traditional Malay villages in the district.

During the Syawal month, the marhaban groups make house-to-house visits reciting prayers and praises for Prophet Muhammad.
