WITH reference to the story, “Restaurant owner shocked over excessive water bill”, which appeared in StarMetro on March 1, we wish to explain that Syabas’ responsibility is up to the water meter only, and consumers are responsible for the supply from the water meter and through the entire water reticulation system on the premises.
Therefore, should there be any damage, including pipe leaks after the water meter, it is the responsibility of the consumers to make it good.
