Menglembu groundnuts company adopts change of name for the better

LIEW Kee Yin wanted his Menglembu groundnuts factory to be able to withstand all challenges just like the pagoda (a Chinese temple, built in the shape of a tall tower) in his hometown in China that had survived various natural calamities.

Hence, when he established his groundnut factory in Sungai Siput in 1945, he adopted the pagoda image as the logo of his company Thong Thye Groundnut Factory Sdn Bhd.
