SOME of the Penang-based plastic product manufacturing companies supporting the electronics and semiconductor industries are expected to experience slight growth this year, despite weakening demand for consumer electronic goods.

This is because their plastic components and plastic-sheet products are also used in the industrial electronics, automotive, medical, and power tool industries, and not just in consumer electronics.
