Smashing victory for Tan

KUALA Muda’s Tan Aik Quan, who had lost to Lim Kee Shen in the Kedah Closed badminton final as the then junior champion five years ago, returned with a vengeance to win the title at the Kedah BA hall.

On his way to the final played on Saturday night, he ousted Tan Fang Wyei, who had been champion for three consecutive years since 2007, in the semi-finals in a three-game thriller.
