200 expected at Meeting of Minds tourism seminar

OVER 200 Malaysian and international delegates are expected at the Meeting of Minds tourism seminar to be held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching on Friday.

Several prominent speakers have been invited to share their expertise and experience with the delegates. Among them will be Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Haid, president of Heritage of Malaysia Trust. Other speakers will be from Malaysia Airlines and Sarawak Heritage Society.

Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud will grace the event at its opening.

Organising chairman Fahmy Mubarak, in a press statement issued yesterday, said it was being organised by Pacific Asia Travel Association (Pata) and the Pata Malaysia chapter in conjunction with the Pata annual meeting here.

Also expected at the opening are Tourism Deputy Minister Datuk Dr James Dawos Mamit, Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr George Chan, Pata chairman Phornsiri Manoharn, Pata chief executive officer Greg Duffel and Tourism Malaysia director-general Datuk Mirza Mohammad Taiyab.
