The March 8 political tsunami hit Petaling Jaya’s political landscape hard, sending in a new set of MPs, assemblymen and councillors to bring about anticipated reforms in the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) that has been shrouded in a negative light ever since a major billboard controversy erupted about two years ago.
While the jury is still out on whether or not the MBPJ has since become more sensitive to public sentiment, the council has made some effort to collect input from various stakeholders before decisions are finalised.
