Raw sewage causing river pollution


KOTA KINABALU: At least seven rivers nationwide have been found to be extremely polluted and the main culprit appears to be raw sewage flowing into these waterways.

Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Senator Dauk Maznah Mazlan said a recent study of 184 rivers found that four in Johor, two in Penang and one in Malacca were seriously polluted.
