SPECIAL Olympics and Paralympics are actually two different games. According to Special Olympics Malaysia board chairman Joseph Lau Tee Sun, those who are physically challenged take part in Paralympics whereas Special Olympics is for those with intellectual disability.
“Special Olympics athletes either have learning disability, autism, cerebral palsy or Down syndrome. Their IQ is lower than 100,” explained Lau.
