Water cut 

THERE will be a disruption in water supply in the Kuala Selangor District from 12am on March 17 to 6am on March 18 to facilitate the installation of water pipes. The affected areas are Jalan Ujung Permatang and Jalan Raja Musa. For details, call 1-800-88-5252 or SMS by typing PUSPEL then type your queries or complaints and send to 39222. 

Road closure 

IN conjunction with the “KL Grand Prix City 2008”, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will close Jalan Sultan Ismail right up to Jalan Bukit Bintang (in front of the Yayasan Selangor building) from 1am to 3am today to facilitate the installation of a truss gantry. Motorists are advised to use other alternative roads to avoid being trapped in traffic. For details, call 03-2617 9812. 

Tribute to women writers 

THERE will be a book reading of Young Women Speak Out, a collection of writings by participants of the Writers for Women’s Rights Programme (WWRP) by the All Women’s Action Society (AWAM). Among the writers who will be at Popular Book Store, Ikano Power Centre, Mutiara Damansara, PJ, tomorrow from 2.30pm to 4pm are Ng Tze Yeng, Boo Su-Lyn, Vizla Kumaresan and Sasha Surandran. 

Talk on astrology 

A talk on astrology for the current period and Vasthu Sastra for happiness, prosperity, and peace of mind will be held on Sunday (March 16) at 2.30pm at Auditorium Tan Sri Soma, Wisma Tun Sambanthan, Jalan Sultan Sulaiman, Kuala Lumpur. Kidney day walkathon 

COME and be part of this year's World Kidney Day celebrations by taking part in the Amazing Kidneys Walk at Taman Jaya Recreational Park, Petaling Jaya, on Sunday (March 16) between 7am and 9.30am. The walkathon is open to the public and kidney patients alike. The public will be charged RM20 to participate while kidney patients get to walk for free. In addition, health screenings, kidney care health talks, health exhibition and a children's art competition will be held at Amcorp Mall from 10am onwards on the same day.
