Moto GP riders take a break

RIDERS – Shinya Nakano, Simone Corsi and Roberto Locatelli – took time off from their training programme to visit Beta Mega Store (BMS). The trio are in Malaysia for this weekend's Moto GP at the Sepang International Circuit.

BMS, located at Taman Mayang, Petaling Jaya , is the only one in the world with the whole range of tools and special products for racing. Beta is associated with the F1 and Moto GP.

Shinya, who rides for Konica Minolta Honda Team in the Moto GP, said he was pleased to visit Beta Mega Store.

“Beta has been a strong supporter of motor sports. I am also happy to be in Malaysia as the conditions are similar to that in Japan. I am looking for a good outing in this weekend's race. It was quite cold in Australia last weekend. I hope it does not rain this weekend in Sepang'' added Shinya.

Interesting: Roberto Locatelli having a look at some of the equipment at the store.

The 20-year-old Corsi is expecting a hot weather and anticipates a tough encounter in the 125cc. Onboard the Aprilia Skilled Racing Team, Corsi, the winner in Turkey, is known as the Terminator in the racing circle.

Locatelli will be lining up in the 250cc for Aprilia Metis Gilera. The 33-year-old Locatelli, who had 27 podium finishes since 1994, is also looking forward to an impressive outing in Sepang.

The trio spent almost an hour at Beta Mega Store and also signed autographs for their fans.
