A FLOOD mitigation project will commence next month to prevent Sungai Mak Mandin from over-flowing and inundating the sur-rounding areas during high tide and heavy rain.
Bagan Jermal assemblyman Ooi Chuan Aik said the project, cost-ing RM200,000, would involve the installation of tide valves, a drain and rubbish trap at the river.
