PENANG: Dispirited drumming by the National University of Sin-gapore (NUS) team cost the mem-bers its silver medal in the main race of the Penang International Dragon Boat Festival (PIDBF) 2007.
According to race officials, the team crossed the finish line on the Teluk Bahang Dam in second place during the 20-man Penang Inter-national Open race final yesterday, but was disqualified because of the lifeless beating by its drum-mer.
