AFTER several programmes in the Klang Valley, Ultimate Squasher, helmed by three-time Asian Junior champion Sandra Wu, has moved to Ipoh.

Ultimate Squasher joined forces with Kinetic Squash Centre and conducted a three-hour introductory mini-squash coaching clinic at SK Cator Avenue recently.

Wu said the programme was to promote squash at grassroots.

“Kinetic Squash Centre coach Kuan Choy Lin, a former international, wanted us to conduct the clinic. Since it was for the progress of the game, we did not have any qualms in travelling to Ipoh,’’ she said.

Basics: Wubriefing theparticipants

During the session, Wu, using a portable rebound wall imported from England, demonstrated the basics.

The 300-odd participants also had the opportunity to test their skills, and prizes sponsored by Wilson and Vitagen were given.

Interested children were encouraged to join Kinetic Squash Centre for regular lessons.

Wu said Ultimate Squasher had plans to organised another two clinics in Ipoh and four in the Klang Valley.
