Growing need to speed up CIQ complex project

BAU (Kuching): The building of the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) complex in Serikin, close to the Sarawak-Kalimantan border, needs to be expedited to serve the growing number of visitors to Serikin, Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Dr Tiki Lafe said.

So far, there has been no allocation from the Federal Govern-ment under the Ninth Malaysia Plan (9MP) for a CIQ complex in Serikin as the priority now was for a complex in Biawak, Lundu, he said.
