WITH the Nissan National Hole-In-One grand final nearing, the 72 golfers who have already qualified thus far for the season-ending finale are all geared up to strike it big by attaining a second feat.
They qualified by virtue of having scored an ace at one of the Nissan Holes throughout the 50 clubs nationwide.
All 72 achievers for 2006 will be invited to compete in an 18-hole grand final scheduled to take place at Nilai Springs Golf & Country Club on Feb 3. Should any one of this elite few attain a hole-in-one during this event, he or she stands to take home a Nissan car.
After nine successful seasons, the Nissan National Hole-In-One golf programme has been acknowledged to be the top hole-in-one competition in the country. This premier event started with participation from 32 clubs and has grown over the years to 50 exclusive clubs nationwide.
In previous years the event was held in clubs such as KGSAAS, Kota Permai, Palm Garden, Perangsang Templer, Tasik Puteri and Monterez and this time Nilai Springs has been selected to host this event for the first time.
The club’s golf manager, Johari Noor said that it is an honour to host this premier event and would ensure that the course is in immaculate condition come Feb 3.
To date, after eight consecutive years, no one has managed to achieve an ace and drive home the Nissan car.
