TAIPING: Bigger-sized marine products normally fetch better prices but for hundreds of Kuala Sepetang fishermen, smaller ones such as udang putih have also provided them a steady income for decades. 

The crustacean is usually dipped in a batter before being deepfried and the delicacy can be found in most of the seafood restaurants at the fishing village which neighbours the Matang mangrove forest.
