THE world’s biggest flo-wer, the Rafflesia, captivated even renown- ed British botanist Prof Sir Ghillean Prance during his recent visit to the Royal Belum State Park in Hulu Perak.
Prof Prance, who is also the Eden Gardens project adviser, was able to catch sight of a blossoming Rafflesia azlanii (named in honour of the Sultan of Perak) after a se-cond trek into the almost impenetrable rainforest.
