IT WAS just a seedling when Kuala Lumpur was establishing itself as the capital of the Federated Malay States. More than a 100 years later, the city has grown into one of the most sophisticated in the world and the tree is more than 200 feet high.
The tree is also the centrepiece of a new commercial development at Menara Kuala Lumpur.
