School still needs RM2.4m for project

SJK (C) Kwang Hwa in Penang is short of RM2.4mil for a project to rebuild its hall and canteen and build extra classrooms.

School board chairman Chan Cheng Guan said the school had so far collected RM800,000 of the RM3.2mil needed for the project.

We hope to start construction in July next year,” he said recently after receiving a RM334,135 cheque from LKT Industrial Berhad chief exe-cutive officer Datuk Vincent Loh and Singapore adventurer Khoo Swee Chiow at the LKT plant.

The money was raised by Loh’s and Khoo’s climb up Mount Everest in May.

The major donors included BYG Architecture, Rimbaco Construc- tion, ACA Vision Technology, Stamp Ford Engineering, Sunon Precision En-gineering, Micropex Engineering, SMC Pneumatics, TBS Precision Engi-neering, Alshem Group and LKT In-dustrial Bhd.

Call the school at 04-6430313.
