KUCHING: Beringkeng Tua’an, an 18-piece Bidayuh band, will bring their unique bamboo and drum music to this year’s Rainforest World Music Festival.
One of their most exotic instruments is the “tunton”, also known as the “rhatong” or “sirotuong”. It is made from only the biggest and strongest bamboo, with slits cut along the length of the bamboo to form the strings of the instrument.
