THE quaint George Town heritage enclave in Penang came alive with the roaring and reverberating sounds of Chinese drums, cymbals and lion dances at the start of national Chinese New Year celebration on Saturday.
The event was held in true Malaysian tradition filled with colour and splendour as national leaders joined some 70,000 people for the street festival.
