A new RM40mil complex for the Kedah Anti-Smuggling Unit (UPP) will be built in Bukit Kayu Hitam to curb smuggling activities at the border.
Outgoing Kedah UPP commander Abdul Rahim Ismail said the two-storey complex, to be completed in two years, would have mobile scanners to check vehicles for contraband.
