Seniors make it count for Malacca

EXPERIENCE helped Malacca to overcome Penang 5-3 and clinch the badminton team gold medal in the inaugural National Women's Games at the National Sports Council Gymnasium 2 in Bukit Jalil.

Malacca won three of the four doubles ties in the final and that proved decisive. Malacca's scratch pairings of Wang Soon Lian-Gan Lay Peng and Katherine Khoo-Cynthia Khoo paved the way in the first and second women's doubles while Michelle Yeow-Ceceila Koh took the other point in the second Under-18 doubles.
