SABAH’S fledgling poultry industry will be devastated if the state agrees to a year-long ban on the consumption of chicken as a preventive measure against the avian flu.
State Agriculture and Food Industries Minister Datuk Rahim Ismail said that such a drastic measure was unnecessary as Sabah was free of the disease.
