Sure bagus! 

TEN sets of comprehensive menus are featured at the Promosi Bagus Punya Ramadan buffet at the Grand seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The promotion, priced at RM52++ per adult with children below 12 years old enjoying a 50% discount, ends on Nov 2. For reservations, call 03-2697 8888 ext 8819/8801. 

 

Spicy chic  

A spicy new chicken recipe, the Khandarr Maharaja Roaster, has been introduced especially for this Ramadan and festive season. This latest offering from Ayamas is an Indian-Muslim recipe that dates back to the days of the great Moghul emperors of India. This halal whole chicken is presented in buttery-cut style, well marinated in an exotic blend of herbs and Indian-Muslim Kandar spices. A special marinating process is used to achieve a flavourful spicy aroma and taste. The Khandarr Maharaja Roaster is served with savoury Khandarr Rice and Sweet and Sour Cucumber Salad. A whole bird costs RM16.50, a family value package set including rice and salad for four persons at RM28 and a single meal consisting a quarter bird, rice and salad at RM6.50. The promotion is available at Kedai Ayamas, Kiosk Ayamas, selected Esso stations and public franchise Ayamas kiosk until Jan 15. 

 

Exquisite dishes 

The exquisite taste of hairy crabs is now available at JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur’s Shanghai restaurant until end November. There are two sets – Set A priced at RM78++ and set B at RM88++ per person. The menus are made up of carefully selected dishes that complement the taste of the crabs. Double delights 

The Businessmen Luncheon set package priced at RM38++ per person for a minimum of two persons is now available at the Museum Chinese (Halal) Restaurant. There are four sets to choose from. At an additional RM10, guests can enjoy one choice of soup as well. Also available is the Chinese Herbal Delights promotion, which will soup lovers.   • A new business lunch menu is being featured until Nov 4 at Café Serena Brasserie priced at RM45++ per person. The lunch set has two rotating menus for an elaborate buffet of appetisers and desserts. There are two choices of soups daily and six choices of main courses prepared a la minute.   • A variety of Bento Box is available for lunch at the Agehan Japanese Restaurant until Dec 31. Each box has different main item such as meats, seafood, rice and vegetables.   • Premium Australian wines are being showcased at all of Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur's Food and beverage outlets this month. The two to be highlighted are the Hardys Shiraz Cabernet 2003 and Hardys Semillon Chardonnay 2004. They are priced at RM25++ for a glass and RM150++ per bottle.   • More value-for-money deals are offered to those dining at the Tai Thong China Restaurant for the next few weeks. There are four promotions altogether, which end on Nov 15. The Beijing Sliced Duck, prepared in two flavours, is available at a promotional price of RM38++ instead of the usual RM68++ per serving. The Super Valued Set Lunch is priced at RM68++ (for two to four persons) and RM138++ (for five to seven persons). Each set comes with a fruit platter. Families can opt for the Happy Family Set priced at RM318++ (for 10 persons) available for both lunch and dinner. These three promotions are available from Monday to Friday. The Red Wine Sets are offered daily to guests in groups of 10 for both lunch and dinner daily.   • Sandwiches of all types are available throughout the month at Lemon Garden 2Go of Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur. These are in addition to the outlet's existing menu of Japanese sets, salads and dressings, freshly baked breads and pastries and cakes. Six choices of sandwiches are available - Hot Dog Bun, Grilled Lamb Pitta, Vegetarian, Salmon Panini, Ciabata Cajun Chicken and Reuben.   • Enjoy the best of Californian cuisine as well as wine in a promotion designed specially for the Chalet at Hotel Equatorial Kuala Lumpur.   • The world's biggest crab, tarabagani or “giant crab” is back in the kitchen of Seki Tei Japanese Restaurant. Three a la carte dishes and a five-course set menu have been planned for the Amazing Hokkigaido Giant Crab promotion that will kick off on Oct 3 and ends on Oct 30. Japanese head chef, Thomas Lim said October was the best season to try this seafood as the finest catch is at the onset of winter. He said it was also a common belief that these crabs were most delectable when consumed before the moulting season. The dishes are priced at RM50++ per portion but if all three are ordered the price is RM140++ complemented with exclusive sake. The set menu is at RM120++ per person.   • Chef Ho Boon and his team are all ready to “wok up” delicious Peking Duck dishes in Celestial Court's Peking Duck Promotion throughout October. The meat is brushed with honey and then roasted till brown. The skin is carved into crisp shards and wrapped in pancake sheets. Besides this traditional method of preparing the duck, there is also the Duck Bone Soup with Mustard Plant and salted Egg or Stir-fried Duck Meat prepared in five different sauces. Offered throughout the month, the dish, originally named Happiness and Longevity but was renamed during the Qing Dynasty, consists of abalone, shark's fin, mushroom and scallops. These Ingredients are boiled to make a tasty soup and during the promotion, It Is priced at RM55++ per portion. It Is available for lunch and dinner.
