The dinner on Aug 30 is at RM56++ per person from 7pm to 10.30pm, the Merdeka Supper Special also on Aug 30 is RM42++ per person from 11am to 3am and the Merdeka Buffet High Tea on Aug 31 at RM42++ from 12.30pm to 4pm.

Diners get one free Buffet Dinner for every one confirmed. A High Tea Extra-vaganza is available at the café as well as Spring Garden Chinese Restaurant priced at RM38++ per person. Senior citizens pay only RM25++ per person. The Chinese restaurant has three other promotions: the Merdeka Set Menu at RM688++ per table of 10 persons, the Hot Pot Steamboat Dinner at RM30 nett per person and the Unlimited Dim sum Lunch at RM25 nett per person. The Taj Northern Indian Cuisine Restaurant features a special Vegetarian Set Dinner at RM25 nett per person. Prime Grill Room is offering free dessert for every main course ordered for lunch or dinner. The Red Wine Barossa Shiraz 203 is at RM48+ per bottle only during this promotion. The Lobby Lounge is offering a 50% discount on cocktails from 10am to midnight daily while the Sports Bar is offering a 50% discount on snacks and Carlsberg Draught. 

HOTEL NIKKO KUALA LUMPUR, 165 Jalan Ampang, KL (Tel: [phone]). Bentley’s Pub is celebrating National Day with Malaysia’s favourite snacks. They are priced from RM23++ to RM26++ per selection. This promotion is available throughout the month. On Aug 31, Café Serena Brasserie has High-tea from noon to 4pm at RM68++ per person. 

BERISI LOUNGE, The Legend Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Putra Place, 100 Jalan Putra, KL (Tel: [phone] ext 9032). The best of Malaysian fare is being highlighted in two separate promotions at Di-Atas Brasserie from Aug 15 to 31. The Merdeka Buffet Lunch is priced at RM43++ and the Merdeka Hi-Tea at RM35++ per person. Also look out for its Weekend Hi-Tea Buffet during the weekends and Public Holidays from 1pm to 5pm priced at R35++ per person.

Hotel Armada Petaling Jaya (Tel: [phone] ext 4557). The Nasi Kandar Delight promotion at the Utara Coffee House is in conjunction with National Day. It is priced at RM38++ per person and is only for dinner. Merdeka babies who come accompanied by one paying adult enjoy their meal for free. The Merdeka High Tea is from noon to 5pm priced at RM35++ per person. Children are entitled to door gifts. 

Melia Kuala Lumpur (Tel: [phone] ext 267). Famous dishes from all of the country’s states have been made available in a promotion in conjunction with National Day. The promotion features Buffet Lunch at RM33++ and Buffet Dinner at RM38++ per adult. Senior citizens and children enjoy discounts. 

SHERATON SUBANG HOTEL & TOWERS, Jalan SS12/1, Subang Jaya (Tel: [phone]). Terazza Brasserie is highlighting an international cuisine in celebration of National Day while the main course selections feature Malaysian delicacies. The Merdeka Grand High-tea is priced at RM39++ per person from noon to 4pm. 

HOTEL GRAND CONTINENTAL, Jalan Belia/Jalan Raja Laut, KL (Tel: [phone]). Merdeka Buffet Lunch is until Aug 30 priced at RM30 per adult, RM21++ per senior citizen and RM18 per child. In the 4+1 Promotion, for every group of four full-paying adults, the fifth guest eats for free. 

ANCASA HOTEL KUALA LUMPUR, Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, KL (Tel: [phone] ext 7699). Merdeka High Tea at Saffron Brasserie priced at RM28 nett per adult and RM16 nett per child. Bring the family and enjoy the 3+1 deal where for every three paying guests the fourth dines for free. The high tea is from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

It showcases a different menu daily. The promotion is priced at RM38++ for lunch from Monday to Friday and RM48++ for dinner from Monday to Saturday. HOTEL EQUATORIAL KUALA LUMPUR, Jalan Sultan Ismail, KL (Tel: [phone]). Citrawarna Malaysia at Nipah CoffeeShop at RM65++ per adult and RM35++ per child. It is available until Aug 30 for lunch on weekdays and dinner daily. Beverages on promotion is the Jackfruit and Mango Cocktail at RM13.50++ per glass. On Aug 31 there is a Merdeka high Tea at RM48++ per adult and RM26++ per child.

The Flavours of Sarawak features two guest chefs, Narawi Mahyan and Patrick Moris Anak Peter Mura from Hilton Kuching, Sarawak. The promotion is for lunch at RM59++ per adult and RM39++ per child, and for dinner at RM66++ per adult and RM46++ per child. There will be a special dance performance on Aug 31. Toh Yuen Chinese Restaurant features a Dim Sum Buffet Brunch from 11am to 3pm priced at RM52++ adult and RM29++ per child. Japanese restaurant Genji celebrates with a Japanese Buffet Lunch from 11.30am to 4pm at RM63++ per adult and RM37++ per child. At Uncle Chilli’s Restaurant is the Absolut-ely Merdeka Countdown Party where from 6pm to 10pm diners enjoy their meal buffet style priced at RM77++ (plus two Absolut shots) per adult and RM40++ per child (plus free flow of soft drinks). There’s a cover charge of RM40 nett (plus one Absolut shot) from 10pm for non-diners.
