OLD folk must go for regular check-ups to minimise risks of suffering from killer diseases such as heart attacks and complications from diabetes and hypertension.
Early detection was crucial, otherwise they might end up spending a lot of money on long-term and costly treatment, said Datuk Keramat assemblyman Ong Thean Lye when opening a free medical check-up at Masjid Haji Kassim in Kampung Makam, Penang, on Sunday.
