The announcement that hill-slope development will be reconsidered as a viable option by the Federal Territories Minister, Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad, rendered me almost speechless. He seems to have forgotten all that we have learned from bitter experience about the fragility of this type of land.
Unfortunately it is not just a short memory span we have to contend with here, but the vested interests of development companies that are vying with each other for the last pieces of well located land within the Federal Territory that they can secure for the continuation of their businesses.
