THE financial woes of T. Balu, who is suffering from acute renal failure, were partly eased by a contribution of RM27,000 raised by the MIC Youth. However, the sum is only sufficient for the 43-year-old's daily dialysis treatments and an angiogram for his heart.
Balu, who was forced to give up his job as a construction worker, and his wife Mary Atna, 38, recently received a mock cheque for the amount from MIC Youth Social and Welfare committee chairman T. Mohan.
