GE15: Ismail Sabri faces three-cornered fight for Bera

PETALING JAYA: Caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob will be facing two other contenders for the Bera parliamentary seat in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Also nominated for the seat are Pakatan Harapan’s Abas Awang and Datuk Asmawi Harun of Perikatan Nasional.

This will be Ismail Sabri’s fifth election outing.

He first won the Bera parliamentary seat in 2004.

In GE14, Ismail Sabri won in a three-corner race against Zakaria Abdul Hamid of PKR and Musaniff Ab Rahman of PAS.

He won with a majority of 2,311 votes.

Earlier, the prime minister was accompanied by his family and a large crowd of supporters and Barisan Nasional members to the nomination centre.
