FORMER hockey international K. Balasingam, a member of the legendary 1975 World Cup team, always wanted to play a role in the development and promotion of the sport at grassroots, and now he is doing so.
But he waited almost 30 years. And it has come after meeting school teacher K. Thilagavathi during a junior competition at the Royal Selangor Club (RSC) in Bukit Kiara.
