Floods: First evacuation centre activated in Sepang on Monday (Nov 24)

ONE temporary relief centre was opened at Dewan Desa Timah Langat in Dengkil, Selangor at 11.30pm on Monday (Nov 24), the first in the Sepang district.

This follows heavy rain on Monday that caused floods in Kampung Batu 31.

Sepang Municipal Council deputy president Muhamad Shah Osmin said at the council's full board meeting that as at 12.30am, a total of 44 people from eight families were seeking shelter at the centre.

He said each family was given a disaster kit that contained a "toto" mattress, mat, pillow and hygiene kit.
