HONOR’s X9 Series has been named the Top-Selling Mid-Range Smartphone Series by Asean Records, an organisation that recognises notable achievements across South-East Asia.

The recognition highlights the strong sales performance of the HONOR X9a, X9b and X9c models in Malaysia’s mid-range smartphone market.

According to HONOR, the accolade further cements the brand’s growing presence and impact within the region’s tech industry. “This is also a testament to HONOR’s unwavering commitment to product excellence, continuous innovation and the growing trust it has earned from Malaysian consumers nationwide,” it said in a statement.

The award was presented by Asean Records managing directors Gillian Ooi and Eldrick Koh to HONOR Malaysia’s channel sales director, Tan Pei Ling, during the recent HONOR X9d 5G Roadshow at IOI Mall Puchong.

HONOR said its X9 Series has performed strongly across both retail and online channels since its debut in Malaysia in 2022. Known for its durability and performance, the series has seen its market share rise from 33% in 2023 to 56% in 2025 — accounting for roughly one in two smartphones sold in the category.

The newly launched HONOR X9d 5G also recorded strong demand, selling out during its pre-order phase and surpassing the sales of its predecessor, the X9c. The model is available nationwide.
