KTM to provide two extra ETS services for Deepavali celebration, tickets available from Oct 10


KERETAPI Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will provide two additional Electric Train Services (ETS) for the KL Sentral – Padang Besar route and vice versa in conjunction with the upcoming Deepavali celebration.

Ticket sales for these additional services will begin on Oct 10, 2024 (Thursday) at 10am.

According to KTM, these additional train services will operate for five days, from Oct 30 to Nov 3, 2024, to accommodate the expected increase in passenger demand during the festivities.

These additional trains offer 630 tickets per day, totaling 3,150 tickets available, including business class coaches.

The schedule for the additional services across the five days includes:

- Train No. 9283: Departs Padang Besar at 11:05am, arriving at KL Sentral at 4:30pm.

- Train No. 9286: Departs KL Sentral at 5:00pm, arriving in Padang Besar at 10:20pm.

KTM added that the initiative aims to ease traffic congestion during the busy holiday season, allowing passengers to travel comfortably and safely.

“KTMB hopes these additional services will enhance the travel experience for those celebrating Deepavali.“
