AS residents of Forest Heights in Seremban, Negri Sembilan, we are deeply concerned about the lack of awareness and action by Seremban City Council (MBS) against the grass cutters it engaged on contract.
While we appreciate the work done by the grass cutters, we have observed on numerous occasions that they tend to dispose the used nylon strings all over the park.
These discarded nylon strings are an eyesore.
Despite our complaints to MBS and communication with the person in charge, we have yet to see any improvement.
Many trees in our park were damaged because of the way these grass cutters use their machines.
Some of the damaged trees inside the park, namely the plumeria and leopard trees, which are of high value, have died.
This was also brought to the attention of MBS but we haven’t seen any action taken.
We hope that MBS will hold the workers accountable.
The city council cannot allow trees to be destroyed by the very contractor appointed for their upkeep.
We hope that the trees that were chopped down for whatever reason, would be replaced to restore the beauty and functionality of our parks.
