A CULINARY extravaganza awaits this weekend at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur.

Guest chef Simone Loisi from Waterfall Ristorante Italiano at Shangri-La Singapore is bringing the flavours and textures of authentic southern Italian cuisine to town.

On Friday and Saturday, Lafite in KL will be presenting a special five-course Waterfall Tasting Set Dinner curated by Loisi.

It is priced at RM350nett per person.

This menu will showcase an array of specialities from Loisi’s hometown in Puglia, Italy, including handmade pastas and delectable main courses.

For the antipasti course, diners can choose between the creamy Burrata Pugliese featuring fresh and creamy Burrata cheese from Puglia or Parmigiana di Melanzane that combines the earthy flavours of eggplant and the depth of Parmesan cheese.

For the main course, choices include the succulent Branzino alla Griglia, a grilled seabass, or Tagliata di Manzo, a beef tenderloin dish.

Lemon Garden is presenting a Sunday Buffet Brunch on Nov 26, showcasing a selection of Italian culinary delights.

Guests can indulge in a selection of Italian cheeses, savour fresh salads bursting with vibrant flavours and witness the culinary magic happening live at the pasta and pizza station.

Loisi’s signature dishes will be a highlight of this brunch, including the tantalising grilled octopus and the savoury roasted chicken.

The menu also includes classic dishes such as Frittura di Calamari (crispy, succulent fried calamari) Bruschetta al Pomodoro (classic Bruschetta) and Parmigiana di Melanzane, (eggplant parmigiana).

This culinary journey concludes on a sweet note with the Signature Tiramisu for dessert.

Sunday Brunch is available from noon to 2.30pm, priced at RM198nett per person.
