ALL 42 schools in Johor Baru will receive an allocation for their sports, hardware and hygiene needs.
Johor Baru MP Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said the allocation of RM920,000 would be shared among all the schools in the constituency.
“The funds will be distributed for the maintenance of sports facilities, hardware upgrades and cleaning of washrooms,” he said.
The recipients are national primary and secondary schools, vernacular primary schools, religious schools and an independent school.
Akmal Nasrullah said it showed political will to treat all schools equally.
“Not just Malay-medium schools, Chinese schools are part of the education sytem too.
“Not only do they help produce an educated workforce for the country, they also reflect the beauty of Malaysia’s multi-culturism,” he said, and urged schools to get in touch with him if they needed assistance.
