Celebrate spring of prosperity at country club this weekend

The Year of the Rabbit is being marked with fun-filled activities at d’Tempat Country Club in Bandar Sri Sendayan near Seremban.

THIS weekend, an array of exciting Chinese New Year events will be hosted by developer Matrix Concepts Holdings Sdn Bhd at d’Tempat Country Club in Bandar Sri Sendayan near Seremban.

After a two-year hiatus, the developer is pulling out the stops to put on an amazing lunar new year display for the community.

Themed “The Spring of Prosperity”, the event kicks off on Saturday with a lion dance and a bunny-themed musical to welcome the Year of the Rabbit.

The first day of festivities also features walkabouts by the Five Gods of Prosperity, a mask-changing Chinese opera performance, and activity booths where visitors can try their hand at the art of paper cutting or painting clay dolls.

The line-up of family fun continues on Sunday with a spectacular drum performance and a thrilling martial arts showcase.

Those who missed the musical on the previous day will also be able to catch a second showing on Sunday.

Day Two highlights also include a mesmerising spring flower dance show and activity booths for face and palm reading as well as rainbow calligraphy.

Matrix Concepts chief marketing officer Lim Kok Yee said it was good to host a large-scale event after Covid-19 pandemic restrictions were lifted as people were keen to enjoy a family day out again.

“We are glad to be able usher in the lunar new year with a big celebration.

“Judging from the number of people who attended our Christmas celebrations, we know they are excited to enjoy these festive showcases again,” he said.

The club’s Chinese New Year-themed decorations including cute rabbits and boughs of cherry blossom strung with lanterns will be up until Feb 10.

The events, which begin from 5pm to 10 pm, are open to the public. Online registration for activity booths is encouraged.
